Company Description:

Zurcom has a long successful record of working with governmental trade agencies for successful export sales for companies. Through the Council of Great Lakes Governors, a multi-governmental agency representing the US states around the Great Lakes region of North America, Zurcom represents New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Wisconsin. Zurcom currently also represents the US states of Florida and Virginia. Zurcom has performed for other national and sub-national trade and investment agencies as well as numerous US state governments. Customer satisfaction is consistently high.
Activities of the office included assistance with locating distributors/buyers for American and other’s products, trade missions, market research and joint venture creation assistance. It is a member of six trade and international policy related bodies situated inside South Africa and Mauritius. Offices are in Tshwane (formerly Pretoria) and Durban, South Africa, with a sub-office in Mauritius, headed by Christophe Nairac and a contact office in Zambia. The office has nine full time employees and four part-time associates. Staff is multilingual in English, French, Portuguese and other languages.


Member/Principle Biography:

Richard Zurba is the Director of Zurcom International (Pty) Ltd. He came to Africa in 1993 after working in commercial real estate in Canada. In 1993 he moved to the Congo for World Vision Relief, involved in humanitarian projects relating to ethnic cleansing and the Ebola outbreak responses. In 1996 he moved to RSA, as an export manager for a South African firm, selling into a wide number of sub-Saharan African countries. In January 1999, he opened the Council of Great Lakes Governors Southern Africa Trade Office in Johannesburg. He has lectured and has served as a dissertation supervisor for an MBA programme. He has work experience in over a dozen countries around the world. He has a B.A. (Alberta, International Relations), an M.A. (London School of Economics, International Relations / History) and an M.B.A. (Western Ontario, International Business).
