IC Inteligencia Corporativa Ltda. was founded in Brazil in 2001, focusing its activities on Trade Promotion, Business Development and Foreign Direct Investment Attraction to US States, and international clients.
In 2015, IC expanded its activities to Chile with a local office and since then, has the capability to offer services in Colombia, Peru and Paraguay as well. With a staff of five full time seasoned business advisors in market research and business development, IC has delivered more than 4,000 Agent Distributor and Market Research projects across all industries. Currently representing Missouri, The company is present with staff in the most important trade shows in South America (e.g. Hospitalar and Intermodal) and walks 16 trade shows per year looking for business opportunities for Missouri clients and in searching for qualified companies that are interested in expanding to Missouri.
Given its expertise, proximity with decision leaders and reputation, IC is often a guest speaker at International Trade events sponsored by the U.S. Consulate, Chambers of Commerce and Brazilian EDOs such as APEX and Investe SP.
Annually, IC delivers from three to six qualified FDI leads to Missouri DED and assists in closing more than $35 Million in exports deals per year for the States of Missouri, Florida and Maryland. The company also represents PNC Bank in Brazil. Prior state clients include Pennsylvania, Delaware, Georgia, North Carolina and the Eastern Trade Council. In its 16 year history, IC has worked directly on two annual Trade Missions, led by Governors, Mayors and Commissioners.
IC’s office is located at WTC Sao Paulo. In 2017, IC’s Missouri team has been working very close with the Center of Sugar Cane Technology ‘s FDI project, vis a vis their R&D relocation to the Danforth Center in St. Louis.
IC has also been working in Trade Promotion for Missouri companies such as Cardinal Scales to find a local partner, with Precision Team to increase their $1M sales to Brazil and 40 others in all industries (e.g. Missouri State University, LMI Aerospace, Paris Brothers, Eltek and KC Animal Health Corridor, etc.). The expected acquisition of Embraer by Boeing will generate an intense trade flow of business between Brazil and Missouri, given Boeing’s interest in Embraer’s military aircraft and the several certified Missouri suppliers to Embraer.
IC is also promoting the Global KC Animal Week in August 2018 with all Brazilian companies involved in the supply chain of beef, poultry and pork exporters to improve their animal health standards.
Fabio Yukio Yamada, founder and principal, has more than 36 years of experience in international business & negotiations, crafted in executive business positions at J&J, 3M, Du Pont, Chemical Bank, Assa Abloy, KSB and other companies and as an EMBA Professor of Strategic Planning in three Business Schools. Fabio has an MA degree by Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada), is Post Graduate in Business in Japan and Brazil and is a Professional Electrical Engineer.
